The firmware is the software installed on Smart TV which is periodically updated by the producers to improve the performance of your TV. The update is not always automatic and a not updated firmware could hinder the viewing of your movies.
For this reason, it's important to make sure that on Smart TV the latest firmware version is installed.To check the version of your firmware and update it, follow the instructions below:
SAMSUNG SMART TV
- Turn on your TV and press MENU on your Remote Control
- Select SUPPORT ad then CONTACT SAMSUNG. You will be able to see your current software version. To update it press SOFTWARE UPDATE or UPDATE NOW
SAMSUNG SMART TV with Tizen operating system
- Turn on your TV and press MENU on your Remote Control
- Select SUPPORT ad then CONTACT SAMSUNG. You will be able to see your current software version. To update it press SMART CONTROL SETTINGS
LG - PHILIPS SMART TV
- Turn on your TV and press SMART TV on your Remote Control
- Select SETTINGS
- Enter SUPPORT and then SOFTWARE UPDATE. You will be able to see your current software version. To update, select VERIFY UPDATED VERSION
SONY SMART TV
- Turn on your TV and go to the section where you can find all the applications
- Select the GUIDE (you can find the icon with the question mark)
- Go to CUSTOMER SUPPORT and then to SYSTEM INFORMATION. You will be able to see the version of your firmware. To update it, select SOFTWARE UPDATE among the options available in CUSTOMER SUPPORT menu

- Turn on your Smart TV and press HELP on your Remote Control
- Select SYSTEM INFORMATION
PANASONIC SMART TV
- Turn on your TV and press INTERNET on your Remote Control
- Enter the box in the middle of the screen containing your TV channels and select the MENU on your Remote Control
- Enter SETTINGS, select SYSTEM MENU and then SYSTEM INFORMATION. You will be able to see your current software version. To update select SYSTEM UPDATE
